The rules.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Xport Studio (the "Software"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Software.

2. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your personal or commercial creative work, subject to these terms.

You may not: redistribute the installer, reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary algorithms, sublicense access, or use the Software to build a competing product. These restrictions do not apply to an included open-source component to the extent that component's license permits it (see section 12).

3. Updates and stability

Xport Studio ships on a fast release cycle:

• Builds do not expire. Once installed, the Software keeps working.
• The app checks for updates and installs them when you quit, so you stay on a current version.
• Features may change, regress, or be removed between releases.
• Crashes can happen. Save your work frequently.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the audio, voice models, and outputs you create with the Software. We don't claim ownership of your work.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any voice, recording, or material you import or process, including reference audio used for voice cloning. Do not train models on a person's voice without their explicit permission.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Xport Studio to:

• Create non-consensual voice clones of real people.
• Impersonate someone with intent to defraud, defame, or harass.
• Generate content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including content that sexualizes minors.
• Distribute malware, run automated scraping against our infrastructure, or attempt to compromise the Software's licensing checks.

We reserve the right to revoke the license of anyone found violating these rules.

6. Payments

AI voice conversion, Text to Speech, and Train Clone run as a 7-day free trial. On Mac, so do Voice Blender (blending) and Studio Voice. After the trial they need a Pro or Founding license. The rest of the toolset is free to use: Split Stems (stem splitter and vocal remover), Key & BPM Finder, Listen Live (Mac), Noise Remover, Mix & Master (beta), Audio Converter, Trimmer, and Library.

Pro and Founding are one-time purchases billed through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. There are no subscriptions and nothing auto-renews. Refunds are available within 3 days of purchase if you haven't substantially used the paid features, email support@xportstudio.com. Purchases made before October 11, 2026 keep the 14-day refund window they were sold with. Nothing here limits any rights you have under your local consumer law.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any specific purpose. AI-generated outputs are inherently variable, always review before use.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xport Audio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim related to the Software is capped at the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $100.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time. We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these terms. On termination, your locally stored audio, models, and library remain yours, they live on your machine.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Xport Audio is incorporated. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes

If we materially change these terms, we'll email license holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect and post the new version here. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

12. Open-source software

Xport Studio includes open-source software components. Each component is licensed to you under its own license, not under these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights those licenses give you, including the right to study, modify, and redistribute those components. Where these Terms conflict with a component's license, that license controls for that component. The reverse-engineering restriction in section 2 does not apply to the extent those licenses permit it. For components under the GNU Lesser General Public License, that includes modifying the component for your own use and reverse engineering to debug those modifications.

GPL, AGPL, and LGPL components

Xport Studio 2.0.0-alpha.44 for Mac includes:

• pedalboard 0.9.23: GPL-3.0. Includes JUCE and the VST3 SDK (GPL-3.0), Rubber Band and FFTW (GPL-2.0-or-later), and LAME.
• matchering 2.0.6: GPL-3.0.
• phonemizer-fork 3.3.2: GPL-3.0-or-later.
• eSpeak NG 1.52.0: GPL-3.0-or-later.
• FFmpeg 7.1 (a separate program, built with x264, x265, and other libraries): GPL-2.0-or-later.
• TempoCNN deeptemp_k16 model: AGPL-3.0. We converted this model to ONNX format.
• PyInstaller 6.20.0 bootloader: GPL-2.0-or-later with the PyInstaller bootloader exception.
• GCC runtime libraries (libgfortran, libgcc_s): GPL-3.0 with the GCC Runtime Library Exception.
• python-soxr 1.1.0 (includes libsoxr): LGPL-2.1-or-later.
• libsndfile 1.2.2: LGPL-2.1-or-later.
• lameenc 1.8.2 (includes LAME 3.100): LGPL-3.0-or-later.
• libquadmath (part of GCC): LGPL-2.1-or-later.
• FFmpeg libraries inside Electron 31.7.7: LGPL-2.1-or-later.

The app also includes certifi 2026.5.20, tqdm 4.67.3, and orjson 3.11.9, which are licensed in whole or in part under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.

Other versions of the app, including the Windows version, may include different versions of these components. This section and the offer below apply to every version of the app we distribute, on every platform.

Source code links, or how to request the source, for each component are published at github.com/xportstudio/xport-studio.

Written offer

For at least three years after we last distribute a version of Xport Studio that contains a component listed above, we will provide the complete corresponding source code for that component, for that version, to anyone who asks, at no charge. To ask, email support@xportstudio.com with your app version and the component you want.

Starter voices

Use your own voice, or voices you have the rights to. Starter voices (Atlas, Orion, Nova, Iris, Lyra): RVC models by Nekochu, RVC-VCTK_Voice-sample (Apache-2.0), trained on the CSTR VCTK Corpus by Junichi Yamagishi, Christophe Veaux and Kirsten MacDonald, University of Edinburgh, licensed CC BY 4.0, with the recordings modified for training.

Free browser tools

The free tools at xportstudio.com/freetools run open-source code in your browser: essentia.js 0.1.3 (AGPL-3.0), ffmpeg.wasm core 0.12.6 (FFmpeg 5.1.4, GPL-2.0-or-later), and SoundTouchJS 0.3.0 (LGPL-2.1). Our own code for the free tools is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License 3.0. Source links for these components are in the same list on GitHub. We make the same written offer for them, for at least three years after we last serve a component on this site.
