Audio Converter

Convert MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and AIFF right in your browser. It's real FFmpeg, compiled to WebAssembly, so your own device does the work and your file never leaves it. No sign-up, no watermarks, no limits.

Convert between any two formats

Every combination has its own page with format-specific guidance. Pick your conversion:

Private by design, not by promise

Most free converter sites upload your file to their servers, and you can't see what happens next. This one can't do that: the converter engine (FFmpeg, the same open-source project behind most audio software) is compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside your browser. There is no upload step in the code. We never see your files, so we can't store them, leak them, or train on them.

Lossless or lossy?

WAV, FLAC, and AIFF are lossless: converting to them keeps the source quality bit for bit. MP3, M4A, and OGG are lossy: they shrink files by discarding data, and at 320 kbps the difference is inaudible for most listeners. One honest note: converting a lossy file to a lossless format doesn't restore lost quality; it just changes the container.

The first load

The engine downloads once (about 31 MB) and is cached by your browser after that. Every conversion after the first is instant to start. If a conversion fails, try a different output format; a few exotic input files carry unusual codecs.
