What converting to 432 Hz actually does

Almost all modern music is tuned so the A above middle C sits at 440 Hz, the international standard. Converting to 432 Hz lowers every note by the same small amount, a ratio of 432 to 440, which works out to about 32 cents, roughly a third of a semitone. Chords, melodies, and the relationships between notes stay exactly the same. The whole song just sits a little lower, and to many ears a little warmer and softer.

This converter does it the clean way. It resamples the audio to drop the pitch by that exact ratio, then time-stretches it by the opposite amount, so the song keeps its original length and tempo. A 1.8 percent stretch is small enough to stay transparent on almost any material. If you prefer the sound of a slowed tape machine, pick tape style: pitch and speed drop together and nothing is stretched at all.

432 Hz, 528 Hz, and the honest science

People convert music to 432 Hz because they like how it feels: calmer, rounder, less bright. That is a real listening preference, and reason enough. You will also find claims online that 432 Hz or 528 Hz tuning repairs DNA, matches the vibration of the universe, or was banned for sinister reasons. There is no solid evidence for any of it, and we would rather tell you that than sell it to you. One small pilot study in 2019 reported slightly lower heart rates with 432 Hz music, which is interesting but far too small to settle anything.

528 Hz works differently. It is not a reference pitch like A=440 but a single note from the so-called Solfeggio frequencies. When a converter says it retunes a song to 528 Hz, the usual meaning is that the C above middle C lands exactly on 528 Hz instead of 523.25 Hz, which is the same as tuning A to 444 Hz. That is what the 528 Hz option does here: a lift of about 16 cents, with the speed kept intact.
