Free audio tools: common questions
Are these audio tools really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and no daily limit on any of them. The one exception is the online stem splitter: your first two splits are free here, and the desktop app does the rest, unlimited and also free. They run on your own device instead of our servers, which costs us almost nothing, so there is nothing to charge for.
Do you upload or store my files?
No. Every tool processes audio inside your browser, using engines like FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your files never reach our servers, so we cannot see them, keep them, or train on them.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Most of them do, in a recent mobile browser. The Audio Screen Recorder and the Stem Supply extension need a desktop browser, and long files process faster on a computer.
How are these different from the Xport Studio app?
Each free tool does one quick job in the browser. Xport Studio is a desktop app that runs offline and handles the heavy work: converting a vocal into another voice, splitting songs into stems, and mastering. The app is free to download, and Pro is a one-time $79 purchase.

They run in your browser on open-source engines (essentia.js, ffmpeg.wasm, Kokoro, SoundTouchJS, jsmediatags, JSZip), credited below. We don't train on your files, we don't sell your data, and nothing ever leaves your browser. They're not features of the Xport Studio app; they're just things we built and liked.
